This is actually the farm stand when it is not housing my tractor. I know it doesn’t look like much at the moment, but when the tractor is out and the tables get moved back in along with a few plants. It looks really good, honest.
There is one thing the stand could use and that is a coat of paint. The problem is mom and I can’t agree on the color. She says “red”; I say “blue” then change my mind to “yellow.” Then she tells me I picked ugly yellows… you see the problem?
I would like to have the farm stand painted this year, so would you please be so kind to tell me what color you would paint the farm stand? The only condition is it must be a bright color to draw attention, remember I can’t hang any signs.

I would go with a bright cherry red. It’s directly across the color scale from green, which I assume most of your plants and vegetables would be, so it would create a great, but pleasing color contrast.
My second choice would be a bright but deep Caribbean (tropical) blue.
I love yellows but they are very hard to pick I think and bad yellow is very bad. I might go red too!
I’m with Mom on this one. Bright fire engine red! I associate red with a lot more fruits and vegetables than either yellow or blue. But, on the other hand, if it was MY farmstand… well I’m kinda partial to tangerine orange. :)
I went and did a google search on farm stands (images) and came across these.

White — http://www.filaskyfarm.com/images/farm_stand.jpg (too plain)
I will add that most produce stands around us are just plain wood, no paint. I’m partial to red, rusty red.

Thanks Guys for the votes on red!!!! Happens to be my favorite color anyway!!! See Ang, I do know some things (smiles) Now let’s take a vote on “Who is going to paint it?” !!! I vote for “Ang”!!!!!
You guys are killing me with red! Wait till I show you all the red I have to look at daily!
Mom, I’m going to get Salvador, the snake killer, to paint the farm stand….LOL
Oh girl, you know I am soooooo with you on that blue! ;)
Ohhh I love that last stand, the white one with the wheels! So very classy and unusual!
I love red, it is my favorite color in the world but it seems like very farm stand I know is red.
If you are really wanting to stand out I say go blue…lean toward torquoise just a tad…it would be lovely.
Why don’t you hang signs? I love signs.
But then again she is your mother and she wants read…

I agree with everyone else… red or yellow. And yellow is such a hard color to pick correctly! :)
I am a HUGE fan of red. My kitchen is red. But it would have to be a bright eye catching red. I think a deep yellow would be nice. But yellows would be a hard one to pick. I tried to paint my kitchen yellow and that was just scary. I guess I am not very good at picking out yellows either!! So, am I any help at all.
Can you put up small wooden signs?? I remember the banner being a “no go”. Sigh….
How about red and yellow. Of if you go red – really bright and rich red and same with the yellow. You want it to stand out amongst the green background. But I would also lean to white – nice, crisp and clean. ;)
I VOTE BLUE!! It would look so tranquil and pretty with the gourd vines trailing up the posts. I say a gray-blue..country blue, not bright blue. Hey, what about curtains!!! Just kidding!
Why not blue and red? I think it would look great if you could incorporate both colors and it would look patriotic too!
Definitely red! That to me says, “Farmstand.”
