Meet the girls:
This is Lucille. Occasionally she may stomp her hoof in protest to being milked.
This is Elsie who unlike Lucille never protests. Elsie is so laid back she wouldn’t even get up for my visit.
While being fed, in the morning and evening both the girls will have a visit from this machine. It’s a milking machine. It’ quite impressive it saves a lot of work in milking. The girls milk is delicious! It’s also plentiful. If you are interested in obtaining milk from the farm you may contact Susan at sdhughes[at]eastex[dot]net.
Note:This week I’ve learned I’m going to quit writing, “I’ll post tomorrow on a post.” It’s a jinx and a guarantee I won’t get it done.
Enjoy your day!

Those are two beautiful girls!! I had never touched a cow in my life until I moved to Louisiana. I got to bed my BIL’s bull. It was scary, and I have never touched one again. I was charged by a raging cow just the other day. I have yet to meet a nice one like those nice ladies!! Okay I sound like a total scardy cat!! Great pictures!!!
…Oh, I love Elsie! I especially love the hairdo! lol… Too cute! That is one of the things on my list to do before I die and that is to own a horse and a cow, together. And then of course have my flock of fancy chickens and I’d be set for life! And I’d want a cow just like Miss Elsie!
…Thanks for sharing Ang’!
…Blessings… :o)
Ang, are they Guernseys? I don’t think they’re Jerseys, but maybe. But either way, they have the most lovely deer-like eyes, don’t they? I’m thinking of the rich, rich cream I could make ice cream with . . . mmmmmm. So much richer than Holsteins.
